Is there anything more wonderful than showing children the world? Colorful, diverse, exciting, feeding the imagination.
The world of the farm - with its animals and daily routine, both in the barns and out on the fields - isn't just a great game for the kids, it is also an exhilarating universe of exciting impressions.
For parents, "Farm Holidays" represent a wonderful change of pace from the hectic daily routine they have left behind.
We are especially proud of the fact that Tyrol has designated us an "Historic Family Farm". The Pachmairhof was built in 1659 and has remained in our family to this day. Since 1994, the farm and guesthouse have been run by Franz and Helga Mair. The farmhouse underwent renovations in 2008.
Our farm includes 15 ha of pastures, 4 ha of forest and 24 different alpine grasses. Daily in spring and autumn, cows are driven up to the lush alpine pastures. From mid June until mid September, the cows live on around 250 ha of common land at around 1700m above sea level.
We keep some 50 head of Simmental cattle on our farm, along with some pigmy goats, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs and cats, who love to be spoiled by the kids.
Since our cows only eat high-quality food from our meadows and alpine pastures, we are able to serve our guests top-quality natural products such as our very own milk and meat.
