Uderns lies at an elevation of 549m in the heart of the Zillertal, at the point where the valley is at its widest and the sun shines longest. Uderns is very quiet, with an authentic village character, yet it is still in the midst of the countless vacation opportunities offered to you by the Zillertal Valley. In the village itself, you will find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, the post office and a station on the local Zillertalbahn railway line.
We are particularly proud that Tyrol has officially designated us an "Historic Family Farm". It was built in 1659 and has been owned by our family ever since. Since 1994, the guesthouse and farm have been run by Franz and Helga Mair. In 2008, the farm underwent a complete renovation.

Of course, your children are completely welcome as well! Right in front of our house is a beautiful playground, along with goats that love to be petted and fed. Kids have perhaps the most fun of all taking tractor rides, pony rides and carriage rides. A wonderful opportunity for the youngsters to be around farm animals.
Our farm is home to around 50 head of Simmental cattle, who actually take their own summertime vacation from mid June until mid September up on our alpine pastures. When it's time for them to return home in September, they are dressed up in beautiful garlands and proudly marched back down into the valley. Park your car and leave it ! Use a bike instead and breathe in that wonderful fresh air of the Zillertal. Enjoy our beautiful bike paths throughout the valley, along with bikes you are welcome to borrow absolutely free of charge.
In addition, the "Zillertal Activcard" offers all kinds of opportunities to actively explore the Zillertal via bus, rail and mountain lift (12 cable cars!).
